Erthquakes in Peru 2026

In this year we have had some erthquakes specially in the coast of Peru, in the highlands where Cusco and Machu Picchu is located, there are few and light ones fortunatelly.

Peru is in the pacific ring of fire and this is due to the continous crasshing of the Tectonic plates. and we have had the latest and haredest earthquake in Pisco town where it reached 7.8 grade in the ritcher scale. this happened in 2007 and it is located right on the coast. Pisco town is about 3 hours south Lima capital city of Peru.
